1. Web site tracking

We use a small file called a cookie that is stored on your computer to keep track of your visit on shopOrganic. This is used solely to help you navigate and to store things in a shopping cart until check out. You cannot use the shopping cart feature without enabling cookies on your computer. You can delete any shopOrganic cookies from your computer after check out if so desired (steps to do so can be found in your desktop operating system Help files).

We use log files to track where customers come from to find us on the web. These log files track URLs and IP addresses.

Neither the cookies nor the log files collect or store any personal information about you and they are not tied in any way to your personal information.

2. Personal Information

We collect certain personal information from you in order to complete your online purchase. This information includes your name, address, phone number and email address. This information is used to pick, pack and send your purchase to you. If you ship to a third party address, we store both your address and the Ship To address. We transfer the Ship To information to our shipping companies (UPS, USPS, FedEx) so they can deliver your package to you. This information is kept on file as part of your order so we can track or trace any problems you may experience with your order.

We do not sell, rent, share or otherwise distribute any personal information you may provide to us except as noted in this privacy statement. We may, from time to time, review information about our customers in aggregate. For instance, we may review how many shipments we make to certain areas of the country or to certain zip codes in order to determine if there are more efficient or cost-effective methods of shipping. This information is for internal use only and is used in aggregate.

We may review any individual order to rectify problems with the order, to audit the order or to protect the order against fraud or credit card misuse. We may use your personal information to contact you if there is a problem with your order.

3. Credit Card Information

We collect and transmit your credit card information to a secure third party credit card processing company. We do not store your credit card information. It is immediately transmitted to the secure PCI-compliant processing center via a secure Internet connection that uses 256-bit SSL encryption. Our employees do not have access to credit card information and cannot access your credit card information in any manner.

If we notice unusual credit card activity or purchasing behavior, we may contact you to determine if the transaction is an authorized, legitimate transaction. Though we make our best effort to spot potentially fraudulent activity, we are not responsible for unauthorized transactions on your credit card via our website.

4. Service Providers

We provide third party service providers, including the above listed companies, service providers, shipping agents and credit card processors with information required to complete your online transaction and ship your order to you. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

5. Username and Password

You are not required to create a username and password in order to use our website. However, in order to access certain features, such as the ability to store your shopping carts for later use or to access your order history, you must create a username and password. We do not divulge usernames or passwords to anyone internal or external to our company. Should you need to change or remove your username and password, you do so online by accessing your account profile or contact our customer service representatives for assistance. 6. Email address

We use your email address to communicate with you regarding the status of your order including sending you order confirmation, shipping information and any updates about your order, if needed.

If you choose to sign up for our email list, we will use your email address to send our monthly email newsletter containing product and company information, sales information, health news, and occasional coupons for discounts on purchases during that month. We may also communicate with you from time to time regarding specials, promotions or important product information. You may opt to unsubscribe from our email list at any time by using the Unsubscribe feature included in every message or by contacting Customer Service via email or phone to request to be removed from our email list. If you use our Email A Friend feature, we do not capture your email address or that of your friend. This feature is provided for your convenience and names and email addresses are used to send your friend an email about a shopOrganic product.

It is used solely to communicate with you about your order, to notify you of important information or to send you the newsletter and other related communications, should you choose to subscribe.
