Unlike bouillon, the first ingredient of Better than Bouillon is meat (or vegetables) instead of salt.
Better Than Bouillon Organic concentrated bases are made with 95% certified organic ingredients, and are made primarily from meat (or vegetables). This gives them a richer, more robust flavor than ordinary bouillons.
No fat, lower sodium: Better Than Bouillon bases are fat free and have 1/3 less salt than ordinary bouillons.

Basic stock directions: dissolve 1 teaspoon vegetable base in 8 oz boiling water. For each quart of stock needed, use 1 1/2 tablespoons organic vegetable base. Use as basic stock for soups, sauces and gravies, or to cook vegetables, rice or pasta with more flavor.

Vegetables and concentrated vegetables (organic carrots, organic celery, organic onion, organic tomato), salt, organic autolyzed yeast paste, organic cane sugar, organic soy sauce, organic maltodextrin, natural flavor, organic potato starch, autolyzed yeast extract, organic dried onion, organic dried garlic and organic spice.
Autolyzed yeast extract contains glutamic acid and may not be suitable for those with a sensitivity to MSG.
