Botanical Interests Organic Cucumber Marketmore Seeds This garden favorite delivers plenty of crisp and delicious burpless cucumbers with unbeatable flavor for slicing and fresh salads all summer long. A great choice for the home garden, Marketmore is a beautiful, dark green cucumber that's ready to pick when 6"-8" long. Fruits keep their size and shape even under poor weather conditions, unlike other varieties that may curl and become misshapen. The 4'-6' vines continue to produce with regular picking. When to plant outside: Spring, after the average last frost and when soil is warm, at least degrees. When to start inside: 4-6 weeks before the average last frost. Special Germination Instructions: Plant in mounds or rows as you prefer. If rows, plant every 4 inches, thinning to 1 plant per foot. Mounds should be 4 feet apart with 6 seedlings on each mound, thinned to 3 per mound. Another highly recommended method is to plant with a trellis. Cucumbers grow straighter and are easier to see when harvesting. Use the row spacing and tie each main stem to the trellis with string or twist tie.

Curtis and Judy met while waiting to interview for the same horticultural job and soon found they shared a boundless enthusiasm for gardening. Botanical Interests began out of their mutual passion and personal desire for better quality seed and more informational tools to help and inpire gardeners.
"We wanted a level of purity and quality that wasn't easy to find," recalls Curtis. So they searched out the highest quality seed available and began their business in 1997, in the spare bedroom of their Colorado home. The business objectives they established then still hold strong for them now: to inspire and educate gardeners; to provide high quality seed to their customers; and to create an enjoyable work place for employees.
Over the years, Judy and Curtis' family has grown along with their line of seeds which now attracts and pleases customers nationwide.
