Botanical Interests Organic Red/Yellow Cherry Pear TomatoesThis late 1800's heirloom variety mix is a treat for all and sure to delight your palate as the fruit bursts in your mouth with sweet juiciness! Both the red and yellow varieties are very attractive fruits that you can eat like grapes. They have sweet, mild flavor and low acidity, making them great for hors d'oeuvres, salads, canning and relishes. Each plant produces clusters of fruit all summer long. Seeds are color-coded so you will know which color tomato plant you are sowing. This packet contains approximately 60-80 seeds. When to sow outside: Not recommended except for mild winter climates: 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost, and when soil temperature is at least 60 degrees. In USDA zones 9 and 10 can also be planted in early fall for winter harvest. When to start inside: RECOMMENDED: 6-8 weeks before average last frost. Harvesting: Harvest tomatoes when firm and fully colored. Lots of green tomatoes near the end of the season? Cut roots with a shovel on two sides; stress will hasten the maturity of existing tomatoes. Also, 1 month before frost, clip all blossoms off plant. If light frost predicted, cover plants. If heavy frost predicted, hang plants upside down in dark basement or place green tomatoes between sheets of newspaper and check daily.

Curtis and Judy met while waiting to interview for the same horticultural job and soon found they shared a boundless enthusiasm for gardening. Botanical Interests began out of their mutual passion and personal desire for better quality seed and more informational tools to help and inpire gardeners.
"We wanted a level of purity and quality that wasn't easy to find," recalls Curtis. So they searched out the highest quality seed available and began their business in 1997, in the spare bedroom of their Colorado home. The business objectives they established then still hold strong for them now: to inspire and educate gardeners; to provide high quality seed to their customers; and to create an enjoyable work place for employees.
Over the years, Judy and Curtis' family has grown along with their line of seeds which now attracts and pleases customers nationwide.
