Botanical Interests Organic Tiger's Eye Bush Bean SeedsTruly a versatile vegetable. Harvest early for tasty snap beans; let pods dry to reveal beautiful beans! 55-95 days. Striking colors make this dried bean an intriguing variety. Its versatility and superiority in the kitchen make it a gardeners' "must-have". This productive bean produces well in a broad range of conditions. It can be harvested as a snap bean before the seeds swell, as a shell bean or, dry and produce gold and maroon beans. The dried beans are prized for their creamy texture and skins that dissolve with cooking. Days to harvest: snap: 55; shelling: 65-75; dried: 85-95. This packet sows one 9' row. When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost and when soil temperatures have warmed. For continuous harvest, sow every 7-14 days up to 60 days before first fall frost. When to start inside: In areas with short seasons start indoors 2 weeks before average last frost and transplant outside 2 weeks after last frost. Harvesting: Tiger's Eye beans are ready to pick when the pod "snaps" or breaks in half cleanly. This is when seeds have just begun to form and the pods are 4" long. Hold stem with one hand, and the pod with the other hand to avoid pulling off branches which may continue to produce. Shell beans are harvested when the seeds are well formed but the pods are still green. Pick pods as you would for snap beans, then split along the seam and remove seeds. Dry beans are left on the plant until the pod and beans inside are completely dry. If short seasons prevent drying plants in the ground before frost, pull entire plant with mature pods before frost and hang in a warm, dry place until pods are brittle; break open pods and remove seeds.

About Botanical Interests
Curtis and Judy met while waiting to interview for the same horticultural job and soon found they shared a boundless enthusiasm for gardening. Botanical Interests began out of their mutual passion and personal desire for better quality seed and more informational tools to help and inpire gardeners.
"We wanted a level of purity and quality that wasn't easy to find," recalls Curtis. So they searched out the highest quality seed available and began their business in 1997, in the spare bedroom of their Colorado home. The business objectives they established then still hold strong for them now: to inspire and educate gardeners; to provide high quality seed to their customers; and to create an enjoyable work place for employees.
Over the years, Judy and Curtis' family has grown along with their line of seeds which now attracts and pleases customers nationwide.
