Peaches do not travel well far from home. Once harvested, they do not ripen, and cold storage, as anyone who has been disappointed by a supermarket peach knows, results in a wooly texture. With its hot, dry days and cool nights, Palisade, Colorado, grows some of the best fruit in America. Of its
bounty of summer fruit, it is most famous for the "Palisade Peach." Colorado Mountain Jam grows its organic peaches in its own orchards, thereby ensuring that only the highest quality, most flavorful peaches go into its Organic Peach Jam.
Use as a spread on breads, French toast, waffles, pancakes, scones; use as a filling in crepes and croissants; wonderful as a cheesecake, ice cream, and dessert topping; use to make marinades, sauces, and glazes for your own special gourmet
dishes; mix into cottage cheese, yogurt, and smoothies.

Our goal at Colorado Mountain Fine Jams & Jellies is to give customers the wonderful opportunity to experience all of the aroma and rich flavors of sun-ripened fresh fruit in every jar of our jams. Our small mom and pop business began in 1998 with the purchase of apricot, peach, and plum orchards that had been farmed for more than a century in ways that depleted the soil. Dedicated to the principles and practice of organic farming, we added organic material to the soil that it had lacked for so long and implemented other sustainable practices.
Over time, giving back to the land more than we took from it, we were able to transform the orchards. The fruit responded to our caretaking. Today, the trees in these USDA-certified organic orchards produce superior quality fruit. The apples, apricots, cherries, peaches, pears, plums, and strawberries in our jams have the intense flavor and incredible natural sugar content that can only be found in tree-ripened fruit.
The primary ingredient in all of our jams is the organic fruit itself. Harvesting takes place when the flavor and natural sweetness of the fruit have reached maximum intensity and are in the perfect balance needed to make exquisite handcrafted jams and jellies.
