A persimmon, known to the ancient Greeks as "the fruit of the gods" is the edible fruit of a number of species of trees of the genus Diospyros in the ebony wood family. Sweet and delicious, these thin slices of persimmon will delight your sense.

Due to variance in the moisture content of the persimmons, actual weight of the 5 pound box can vary. This is packaged from the farm in an open plastic bag within a cardboard box so that it can continue to dry. Repackaged in a facility that also repackages peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and soy.
