Ingredients:

can Farmer's Market organic canned pumpkin or pumpkin pie mix
- 14
ounce
organic chicken or vegetable broth
- 1
large organic onion, chopped
- 2
organic carrots, chopped
- 2
cup
organic half and half or evaporated milk
- 1/4
cup
organic sour cream
- 1/2
teaspoon
organic black pepper
- 1
teaspoon
organic cinnamon (omit if using pie mix)
- 1/2
teaspoon
baking soda
- 1/3
teaspoon
salt

Directions:

In a large pot, add broth, onions, carrot, baking soda, salt, cinnamon (if using) and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes until carrots are soft. (Optional - put vegetables and broth into food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Return to pot)
Add pumpkin and half and half or evaporated milk. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Pour into soup bowls. Top with sour cream.
